Reservations staff at The Mercer Collection know every room & building inside out so can offer you the best advice on which room to opt for. We can also talk through specific requests i.e. if you require a low floor, prefer a walk-in shower, want to make sure your room doesn't have a sloped ceiling or any number of other requests!

With any room booked on a 3rd party site (such as there is no specific room choice andwe cannot offer upgrades or changes due to 3rd party restrictions. Using one of these sites also means the booking is more expensive - you will see a comparative rate when searching on our site so you can be assured you are getting the best possible price. Often third party sites will show you a rate without breakfast or add taxes at the end of the booking process so watch out for this!

Booking with a Pet:

We do take dogs but please bring a bed or blanket for your pet to sleep on. Dogs are charged at £15 per pet pet stay and are welcome in The Garden Southsea. Please note - rooms are given extra housekeeping attention on departure to ensure guests with allergies are not affected by our acceptance of dogs. 

Car Parking:

Parking is a mix of on and off road all free of charge in a quiet residential road. Off road parking is not reservable. We advise parking in the road bays around the hotel and collecting a permit on arrival free from reception. 

The Garden Restaurant:

We advise an advance booking for lunch/dinner tables due to how popular the restaurant is. Advance breakfast bookings are not required for hotel guests.
